South Chungcheong Province, Chungnam in short, is located in the center of the Korean peninsula, and is the central area of the PanYellow Sea.
It is also the most important transit hub that Gyeongbu/Honam Highway and High-speed rail (HSR), and West Coast Highway pass through.
The new city of Naepo, the seat of Chungnam Provincial Government moved from Daejeon in January 2013, is being made into an eco-friendly and people-centered city that everyone wants to live in.
The Chungnam’s history and culture are the pride of the people and the driving force of future development.
We are raising the pride and quality of life of the residents by utilizing the glorious Baekje culture and extensive tourism support, especially various local festivals including Baekje cultural assets and the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site Listing.
